Bernice J. (Kracht) Mueller, 85, of Forestville, passed away at Golden Living Center a€" Dorchester on March 8, 2013. She was born April 27, 1927, in Mishicot to Louis and Edna (Eslinger) Kracht. On September 20, 1947, she married Virgel Mueller in Forestville, he preceded her in death on October 2, 1998. Bernice was a long time member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Forestville where she was active in the Missionary League, Ladies Aide and Altar Guild. She was also a founding member of one of Door County's first homemakers groups.

Bernice was a terrific wife, mom, grandma and friend. She was a great cook and baker, and enjoyed sharing her cooking and baked goods with family and friends. Her quick wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her four children, James (Jean) Mueller and Linda Mueller, all of Green Bay; LeAnn (Mark) Jarman, Sturgeon Bay; John (Lisa) Mueller, Forestville; five grandchildren, Jody Mueller (Dan), Joshua Jarman (fiancAC., Lisa), Sara Mueller, Jena Jarman, and Samuel Mueller; one brother, Kenneth (Joyce) Kracht, Sheboygan Falls; in-laws, Marge Kracht and Simone Kracht; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, Earl, Clifford and Wallace Kracht; a sister, Carol (Mark) Ciha and a niece, Connie (Ciha) Lofgren.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Forestville, the Rev. Carl Brewer officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Forbes Funeral Home and then after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church until time of services.
