Mark S. Forbes

Licensed Funeral Director

Mark S. Forbes joined the family firm as a licensed funeral director in 1992. Mark grew up in Sturgeon Bay and graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1983. He earned a bachelors degree in psychology from Trinity University (Deerfield, IL) in 1987 and received his funeral service certificate from Worsham College in 1992. Mark also earned an accounting degree from Lakeland College in 2002.

Harold R. Forbes

Funeral Director Emeritus

Harold R. Forbes was a licensed funeral director for over 66 years and served the families in Door County for almost as long. After attending Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, Harold graduated from Mortuary School in Milwaukee. After working for a few years at Stoneman Funeral Home, in Sturgeon Bay and Uecker-Witt Funeral Home in Fond du Lac, Harold returned to Sturgeon Bay in 1970 to manage the Soulek Funeral Home. In 1982 Harold bought out Soulek and established the Forbes Funeral Home. He continues to assist the staff at the funeral home on a part time basis.


Timothy Forbes

Licensed Apprentice

Tim Forbes was raised in Sturgeon Bay and is a 1986 graduate of Sturgeon Bay High School. He is a licensed apprentice, assisting funeral directors on funerals and memorial services.


Tony Reinke

Tony Reinke

Licensed Funeral Director

Tony Reinke brings more than 20 years of experience in the funeral profession and is dedicated to serving families with empathy, compassion, and respect during life’s most difficult moments. As a licensed funeral director, Tony understands the importance of providing personalized care and guidance to every family he serves.

Tony is a graduate of Milwaukee Area Technical College, where he earned a degree in Mortuary Science, and also holds a Bachelors Degree in Education from University of Wisconsin–Stout. In addition, he is a Wisconsin licensed life insurance agent, allowing him to assist individuals and families with preplanning and prefunding funeral arrangements to provide peace of mind for the future.

Tony and his wife, Jennifer, a registered nurse, are the proud parents of six children — three adult children and three still at home. Their family is excited to make Door County their home and looks forward to embracing all the beauty, community, and opportunities this special area has to offer.
