Ron was a champion for all those he worked for and with. He was not only a mentor, a friend, but most importantly a brother in Christ. His ability to "do right" for the families , students and teachers of Sturgeon Bay was beyond compare. I will miss him ,

Tony

Ron was always such a nice and encouraging man. Whether I ran into him at work, in town, or out on the bay, he always had a smile on his face and something nice to say. My condolences to the Tomes family.

Sue & Family,

We are so sad to hear of Ron's passing. He was a kind and very giving man. He was so helpful with our daughter when she was in grade school. So knowledgeable in his position of helping with her special needs. A friendly and kind man who loved to golf! We loved seeing Sue & Ron at Portage Park with their dog, always a fun time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time.

Dear Sue and all of Ron's family, friends and colleagues, I am so sorry for your loss. Ron was such fine man. I worked, as a community volunteer parent, with him and a number of other amazing folks, back in the early 80's, especially in the field of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Prevention. He and the others inspired me so much that I continue doing this work to this day. He was such a good example for all of us in the education, health and social work fields. Thank you Ron. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. Sincerely , Carol

My deepest sympathy to the Tomes family. Ron will leave a legacy in the way in which he worked with and for students. I enjoyed working with Ron and have a deep respect for him and his commitment to striving for education excellence while my children were in the Sturgeon Bay School District and during my service on the school board. May your memories carry you forward. You have an angel watching over you...always!

Dear Sue and family,
You have our deepest sympathies and prayers. We were shocked to hear of Ron's death. My brother Bob informed us. How moving to read of his embrace of his cancer as a a gift, as was his life. We are grateful for your surprise visit at the farmers market in Green Bay, what a delight.
You are hugged, Sue, in our thoughts and prayers.
