God's speed to a great Dad, mariner, kind soul, brilliant man, and someone that taught me so very much. In the last few years we had reconnected (via letters) and they were awesome. I will always remember those times, years ago, when we would play tennis, chess, and go on fishing trips. Sitting in the airport waiting for him to return and seeing him get off the planes. Awesome. Being a VIP aboard his ships was also such an inspiration to me. I joined the US NAVY at 19 so I could somehow expand my mind and make him proud. It wasn't till years later, that I was able to reacquaint with him and share some stories. I'm certain he is working to make Heaven a more well engineered place, as I write this. As we say in the Navy - "Fair winds and following seas Dad." Love - Mitch

Dear Ami and Mira, I received the Memorial Service program for Richard from Dad today. I have nothing but fond, beautiful memories of you and your warmth during some very early days in my life there in Sturgeon. I still make origami cranes and smile upon your generousity, Mira. I hope we can connect when next I'm there in August. Perhaps we could share some tea together. I would so enjoy that. Mom, Lois, as you undoubtedly know, passed away in December of 2014. I have been grown and felt more deeply than I could have imagined. So I know you are both being taken to a place of deep remembrance in this time. I do know that Love is the medicine for everything and that you're held in it's broad, Grace-filled wings. I send you the utmost care and gratitude for being such bright- hearted women on the planet. And in the life of Richard. With Love, Erika and Christy. I'll be sharing the news with her today. Here is my #. I'd love to chat, Mira. Erika 425-417-5487
