Dear Volkmann Family,
I am so sorry to have read of your loss; please accept my sincere condolences. Something that I have personally found to be of great comfort are the thoughts expressed at John 5:28, 29 as well as Revelation 21:4. In these verses, we find a wonderful hope for the future of being reunited with our loved ones upon the earth the way it was originally intended--free from sickness, suffering, and death. Knowing this has comforted me greatly and it is my sincere hope that these thoughts comfort your family as well. Again I am so sorry for your loss.

Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. He is with Jesus now, and the glory far surpasses any light and momentary troubles he had here. May Jesus give you peace until that time when he will wipe away every tear from our eyes.

Thank you for remembering Jan. There is a huge hole in my life right now, but I am so happy for Dad. The last five years have been difficult for him, but 2016 was really bad. He spent 85 good fruitful years on this earth and now it is time to move on the next world. Hope all is well with you.

Wally: I remember our discussion about your Dad when I saw you in Door County last May for our mini class reunion. Seeing him in a better a place will hopefully bring you and your family needed comfort. Will be coming up from FL to WI in June ... hopefully, classmates will get together again. Until then, take care . . .

Lester was always a great friend when playing baseball or any time we met. We will meet again, and that will a great time.

Marion and family, I'm so very sorry for your great loss! Your family has been more like family than friends to me. I'm so grateful I got to spend quality time with you and Lester last August while in Door County. I'll always remember the very special weekend spent at Marco Island in February 2013 with you, Lester, DeDe and Paul. Special friends and special memories!! My love and God's peace and comfort to your entire family. I will see you in May.
Much Love & Prayers, Bonnie Smith
