Donald Willard Hanson, 85, of Sturgeon Bay passed away unexpectedly on December 22, 2015, at Ministry Door County Medical Center in Sturgeon Bay.  He was born on April 24, 1930, in Clay Banks to Otto and Carrie (Stegmann) Hanson.  On October 21, 1950, he married Edna Rodrian in Rankin, she preceded him in death on January 8, 2014.  Donald enjoyed farming with his wife in the town on Clay Banks for many years.

Survivors include two sons, Dale (Sherry) Hanson, Forestville; Steve Hanson, Sturgeon Bay; two grandchildren, Henry Hanson and Teralea Hanson (Mike McGuire); step-grandchild, Clint (Melissa) Malkmus; great-grandson, Declan McGuire; one sister, Isabel Haegele; and his little dog, Duke.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Edna; six brothers: Stanley, Ole, Forest, Allan, Grant, and Loyal; and one sister, Hazel Petrina.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday Dec. 27, 2015, at Tanum-Forest Lutheran Church with the Rev. Bruce Pangborn officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.
