Alice Marie O’Dean, 82, of Sturgeon Bay passed away on May 22, 2016 at a Green Bay hospital. She was born Aug. 19, 1933 in Door County to Carl and Lillian (Marcelle) O’Dean and was a graduate of Sturgeon Bay High School.
Alice loved music, especially listening to live Blue Grass Music and having “jam sessions” with friends, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed painting and doing puzzles. Alice was a very sweet, kind, and generous person who was always willing to help others. She will also be remembered for the all the jokes and funny stories she liked to share.
She is survived by five children, Larry (Mary) Lemens, Green Bay; Lory DeLeon, Sturgeon Bay; Leon (Mary Jo) Lemens, New Franken; Lisa (Ed) Anschutz, Forestville; and Leslie (June) Lemens, Little Sturgeon; 11 grandchildren, Anthony, Jason, Rick, Nicholas, Michael, Megan Melissa, Jamie, Cassandra, Steven, and Brian; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Alice was preceded in death by an infant son Lyle, her parents, husband Orville Lemens, brothers, Chuck, Loyle, Allan “Pete”, and Frank O’Dean; sisters, Elaine Walker and Lila Vogel; and special friend Bob Raynier.
A memorial mass will be conducted at Corpus Christi Church on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Carl Schmitt officiating. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
