Michael DeDecker, 64, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at his home on August 15, 2016.  He was born April 20, 1952, in Sturgeon Bay to Elmer and Florence (Jeanquart) DeDecker.  Mike graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1970. 

After high school, Mike attended UW Oshkosh and later moved to Denver.  After working in Denver for many years, he returned to Sturgeon Bay to be near his family.  In the late 70’s, he enjoyed a trip to Belgium with his parents.  Recently, Mike enjoyed reading the newspaper, following sports and socializing with his friends and family.

Survivors include his mother; brother Ralph (Paulette) DeDecker, Mt. Horeb, WI; sister, Kay (James) Abeyta, Sturgeon Bay; nieces and nephews: Bobette, Dylan, Marielle, Gracee, and Abram; aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Birdsall officiating.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Forbes Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Saturday.  A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday.
