Daniel Frank Bloom, 55, of Sturgeon Bay passed away at his home on January 13, 2016.  He was born October 14, 1960 in Chicago to Bernard and Nancy (Hoffman) Bloom.   

Daniel grew up in the Chicago area and moved to Sturgeon Bay about 18 years ago. He was an avid outdoorsman and was a self-employed carpenter in the area for many years.  Dan was known as “Handy Dan” and was a friend to all.

Survivors include his daughter Emilie Marie Bloom, Lindenhurst, IL; a grandson, Exavier Edward Munoz; mother Nancy Bloom, Round Lake, IL; 2 sisters, Cindy (Eric) Josefson, Round Lake Heights, IL; and Tammy (Glenn) Clark, Round Lake, IL; nieces, nephews, cousins, step-mother Jeraldine (Ron) Stephenson, Sturgeon Bay; 2 step-sisters, Denise Hoolhorst and Desiree (Chuck) Stevens, all of Nashville, TN.  He was preceded in death by his father.

A celebration of life will be held on Feb. 27, from 1-5 p.m. at Parkway by the Lake Banquets, 25212 W. Lake Shore Dr. Ingleside, IL 60041.  Memorials may be directed to Chromosome 18 Registry and Research Society.
