Wilma M. Waterstreet Obituary

Wilma Mae Waterstreet, 93, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Feb. 21, 2025.  She was born on July 15, 1931, in Stevens Point.  On Dec. 26, 1954, she married Eugene W. Waterstreet in Eagle River.  Together they raised three children.  Eugene preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 2014.


For many years, Wilma worked as a Home-Ec. Teacher for Sevastopol Schools.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband all over the United States.  She loved golf, gardening, playing bridge, and was a long-time member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay.


She is survived by 3 children, Keith (Joan) Waterstreet, Eden Prairie, MN, Kathy (Ken) Stephenson, De Pere, WI, and Nancy (Tom) Merritt, Juneau, WI; 6 grandchildren, Julie (Jonathan), Mike (Leandra), Kyle (Lindsey), Kevin (Jessica), Tyler and Jenni; 6 great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law Darlene Waterstreet, Two Rivers, WI.


She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Beatrice Schmeeckle, her husband, and brother Don Schmeeckle.


Private family services will be conducted.  Burial will be in Bayside Cemetery.
