William “Bill” Allen Polster, 77, of Clay Banks, passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2022. He was born on May 24, 1945, to James and Donna (Carmody) Polster. Bill grew up in Sturgeon Bay and graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1963. On August 21, 1965, he married Sonja Everson.
Bill worked more than 40 years for the Door County Highway Department. He enjoyed keeping busy with many projects and hobbies, including spending time with family and friends, spending time up north, fishing, hunting, road trips, sawmill/woodworking, and family home improvements.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sonja; a daughter Aurelea (Mike) Kawula, Combined Locks; a son Mike (Debra) Polster, Green Bay; daughter-in-law Jen Polster, Forestville; four grandchildren, Amanda and Nathan Kawula, Lydia and James Polster; two sisters, Mary (Arnie) Lindauer and Jane (Bill) Jarman; a brother, Pete (Sandy) Polster; sisters-in-law, Sandy Hansen, Arliss Everson, and Kay Polster. He was preceded in death by his son Ben Polster; and two brothers, Jack Polster and Dan Polster.
A public visitation will be held at the Forbes Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. Following the visitation, a private family service will be conducted by the Rev. Peter Mannoja. Online condolences will be offered at www.forbesfuneralhome.com
