William J. Kostka Jr. Obituary

William John Kostka Jr., 80, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at home on Jan. 25, 2025.  He was born in Door County on Aug. 10, 1944, to William and Eleanor (Zastrow) Kostka.  He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  On Dec. 10, 1983, he married Sally Delsart at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay.

Bill lived his whole life in Sturgeon Bay.  He always had a job and food to eat, which allowed him to spend time on many car, motorcycle and bicycle projects.  Bill loved Sturgeon Bay and Door County and always said it was the best place to live in the world. 

He is survived by his wife Sally, 2 children, Gina (Joseph) Glennon, Annapolis, MD and William (Emily) Kostka III, Centralville, MD; 4 grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Connor Glennon, Nathan and Madison Kostka; sister Beth MacDonald, Sturgeon Bay; nephew, Justin MacDonald, Egg Harbor.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kandy Kostka; and a brother-in-law, Terry MacDonald.

Private family services will be conducted at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay.  Burial will be at the Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI.
