Theresa Carol Smith, 83, formerly of Barrington, IL and Baileys Harbor passed away on Sept. 4, 2022, in Westmont, IL.  She was born Nov. 8, 1938, in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Stephanie (Obrzut) Dzik.  On Oct. 28, 1961, she married Thomas O. Smith in Chicago.  He preceded her in death in 2005.

In addition to raising her family, Theresa worked as a secretary at Resurrection Hospital in Chicago for many years before she and her husband retired to Door County.

Survivors include 3 children, Thomas Smith lll of Westmont, IL; Kathleen Smith of Chicago; and Timothy (Valerie) Smith of Mt. Prospect, IL; 2 grandchildren, Joseph and Andrew Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 granddaughters, Meghan Elizabeth and Kaley Theresa; and sister Janet (Richard) Radtke.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, Stella Maris Parish in Baileys Harbor with the Rev. Thomas Farrell officiating.  Burial will be in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service.  Forbes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
