Shirley Kinjerski Obituary

Shirley Ann Kinjerski 73, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at her home on September 8, 2020.  She was born on November 28, 1946, in Door County to Clarence and Cebelle (Krause) Weckler.  On September 24, 1963, she married Norbert F. Kinjerski in St. Louis, MO, he preceded her in death on January 10, 1994.

Shirley loved to play cards and games, feeding the birds, especially hummingbirds, waterfalls, swans, crocheting, and telling jokes.  She especially loved spending time with family and friends.  Shirley was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include four children, Laurie (Scott) Rice, Wauwatosa, WI; Sally Kinjerski, Gaston, OR; Douglas (Courtney Viste) Kinjerski, Sturgeon Bay; Lee Kinjerski, Forestville; four grandchildren, Matt (Courtney Sacotte) Kinjerski, Amanda (Chris) Ahsoak, Quantrell Kinjerski, Kasi (Adam) Crismon; two great-grandchildren, Jordyn Kinjerski, and Darian Kinjerski; two brothers, Antone Weckler, Sturgeon Bay; Sherwood (Ruth) Weckler, Sturgeon Bay; one sister, Carol Jean (Ron) Antholt Sr., Sturgeon Bay; and numerous in-laws.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norbert; three sisters, Isabelle, Evelyn, and Sandy; five brothers, Clarence Jr., Sherwin, Roger, Orville, and Darrel.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2020, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay with Rev. Joel Sauer officiating.  Burial will be in Bayside Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church on Sunday.  Face masks are required and social distancing measures will be in place.
