Myrtle N. Felhofer, 100, of Sturgeon Bay passed away on September 11, 2021, at Pine Crest Village.  She was born October 31, 1920, in the Town of Egg Harbor to Charles and Ella (Graf) Martens.  In 1944, she married Wallace “Bud” Felhofer; he preceded her in death on January 26, 2003.

Myrtle was a 1938 graduate of Sturgeon Bay High School and a 1942 graduate of the Milwaukee State Teachers College. She taught elementary school during the war until she married Bud and began a family.  Myrtle later taught second grade at Sunrise School in Sturgeon Bay for many years. 

She enjoyed golfing, playing bridge and had a very active social life.  Myrtle was a long-time and active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Valmy.  She especially enjoyed time with spent with her grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, Thomas (Diane) Felhofer, Sturgeon Bay; three grandchildren, Katie (Taylor) Reynolds, Lancaster, WI; Alexander (Megan) Felhofer, Dallas, TX; Ann Felhofer, Boston, MA; four great-grandchildren, Ruby, Oliver, Charles, and Clementine Reynolds; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Edward; 2 brothers, Robert (Mabel) Martens; Franklin (Marlene) Martens; and 2 sisters, May (Clarence) Tanck and June (Herbert) Wenger.

Funeral services will be 11:30 am Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, at St. John Lutheran Church in Valmy.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.  Forbes Funeral Home is assisting the family.  On-line condolences may be offered at forbesfuneralhome.com
