Myron A. DeGrave 88, of Brussels, died in Elaine and Perry’s arms at his home on August 26, 2023. He was born on November 24, 1934, in Lincoln to William and Grace (DeBoise) DeGrave. On November 27, 1952, he married Elaine Guilette in Namur. Myron has been farming in Brussels since 1971. He was the first volunteer fireman for Brussels before it started in 1967 and remained a volunteer fireman until 1984. Myron enjoyed polka dancing, fixing whatever anyone broke, playing cards, and especially cutting his lawn.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine; 3 children, Kelly DeGrave, Manitowoc; Dean (Gayla) DeGrave, Luxemburg; Perry (Shirley Thomas) DeGrave, Brussels; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Dave Onsager (Sheboygan); 2 brothers, Marvin (Karen) DeGrave, Brussels; Milton (Linda) DeGrave, Brussels; 1 aunt, Arlene Deprey, Casco; special nephew, Dale DeGrave; and many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents; parents-in-law, Nelson and Emily Guilette; 1 daughter, Amy Onsager; a grandson, Kelly Jr; a great-granddaughter; 1 sister, Golderine DeGrave; 1 brother-in-law, Lloyd Guilette; and a sister-in-law, Elaine Guilette.
As per his wishes, there will be no public services.
