Mary Jane N. (Mathison) Kieper Obituary

Mary Jane Nina (Mathison) Kieper, 69, passed away in Green Bay on August 25, 2025. She was born on October 17, 1955, in Sturgeon Bay to Walton and Nina (Uecker) Mathison.    


Mary Jane was a graduate of Southern Door High School in 1973. She received her associate degree from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College; her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Lakeland College; and her Master of Science Degree from Silver Lake College in Manitowoc.  Mary Jane worked as an administrative assistant for City of Green Bay and most recently at Shopko.


Mary Jane enjoyed crocheting, including making clothes for dolls, baking and creating cookbooks, and making decorations for many different holidays.  She really enjoyed hearing about her nieces and nephews, and all of the animals back on the farm.


Survivors include a sister, Carolyn (Francis) Peeters, Peshtigo, a brother, Allan (Becky) Mathison, Sturgeon Bay; two nieces, Julie (Brad) Baumann; Emma Mathison; two nephews, Mike (Stacy) Peeters; Scott (Morgan) Mathison; great nieces and nephews; cousins and a best friend and confidant, Connie Christenson.


Private funeral services will be held, and burial will be at Tanum Cemetery.
