Marilyn Nelson Obituary

Marilyn Mable “Lynn” Nelson, 86, of Nasewaupee and formerly of Elk Grove Village, IL, passed away on September 9, 2020, at Door County Medical Center. She was born on October 22, 1933 in LaGrange, IL, to Frederick and Inga Hansen. On June 18, 1955, she married Ronald C. Nelson in Illinois, he preceded her in death on March 21, 2006.

Marilyn loved the Chicago Cubs. She also enjoyed knitting, needle point, playing cards, bowling and drinking manhattans.

Survivors include 8 children, Kathy (Dan) Bollinger, Rhonda (Loren) Clark, David (Caroline) Nelson, Jeffrey (Celeste) Nelson, Robert (Laura) Nelson, Diana (Don) Haberkamp, Laura (Pete) Obermann, Lisa (Anthony) Sprovieri; she was a loving “MorMor” to 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great- grandchild. Her twin sister, Anne Sele, with whom Lynn had a special bond, living the last few years with each other and sharing wonderful times together. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald; and 1 sister, Dorothy Winter.

A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
