Linda Elaine Freier, 72, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on March 10, 2022.  She was born May 5, 1949, in Galesville, WI to John and Ethel (Hare) Marvell.  On March 9, 1968, she married David H. Freier in Dundee, IL.

Linda was very active in the Red Hatter Group, her card club where she was known as being quite the poker player, and book club.  She enjoyed gardening and volunteering at Door Co. Medical Center.  Linda was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and loved spending time with all of them.

Survivors include her husband; two children, Jason Freier, Sturgeon Bay; Dana Hangebrauck, Antioch, IL; two sons-in-law, Harold “Buddy” Hangebrauck, Trevor, WI; Bill Herreid, Trevor, WI; three grandchildren, Hunter (Liv), Logan, and Brayden Hangebrauck; one great-grandson, Brantley Hangebrauck; two sisters-in-law, Valerie (Randy) Hakes, Adell, WI; Melanie (Howie) Iverson, West Bend, WI; lifelong best friend and cousin, Kathy (David) Mueller, Galesville, WI; along with the rest of the “Galesville Clan”.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Roger Marvell; one brother-in-law, James Freier.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. April 1, 2022, at Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay with Rev. Michael Zolnosky officiating.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home on Friday.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Centerville, WI.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
