Kermit Arthur Franda, 87, of Sturgeon Bay passed away at his home in the town of Gardner on December 19, 2022. He was born April 7, 1935, in Door County to Joseph and Eleanore (Robillard) Franda. On July 16, 1955, he married Cleo Patricia Bellin at St. Hubert’s Catholic Church in Rosiere.
Kermit owned and operated a construction business, Franda Construction in Southern Door County for many years. He also ran a commercial fishing business and worked on the family farm doing whatever was needed. Working was his passion.
In his free time, Kermit enjoyed hunting, fishing and vacationing in Mesa Arizona with Cleo.
Survivors include his wife, Cleo; five children, Terry Franda, Michelle (Randy) Brandt, Tammy (Tom) Wagner, Scott (Robin) Franda, and Joe Franda (Laura Frederickson); seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Dale Bouchonville; other in-laws, Adris Bellin and Andy (Bernadete) Bellin. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Shirley (Donald) Wautier and Joan Bouchonville; and brother Ervin (Jeanette) Franda.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 26, 2022, at St. Francis and St. Mary Catholic Church in Brussels. Entombment will be at the Shrine of Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay. Friends may call at the Forbes Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 22, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and then at the church on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of service.
