Judy Jenquin Obituary

Judy Mary (Dachelet) Jenquin, 81, of Brussels, was received into the arms of her Savior, wrapped in the love of her family, on July 25, 2022, at her home after a brief battle with cancer.

Mom loved to share beautiful memories of growing up on her family’s farm with her sister Bonnie who she loved dearly.   In 1964, she married Tom Jenquin, they were married “49 ½” years until he passed away on May 1, 2012.  Together they operated a cherry orchard and raised two children, Shelly Grovogel and John Jenquin.  Mom was always there for us in good and hard times.

She was very proud of the 20 years she worked for Marchant’s and the 24 years at Southern Door Schools.  Mom was the kind of person you couldn’t help but love and made many friendships that lasted the rest of her life.

Mom will best be remembered as our family matriarch who taught us real love by the way she cared for us and her three grandchildren.  Mom was so proud of her grandchildren and had a special and unique love for each of them.

After Dad’s death her friendship with Terry DeWane grew into something very special.   Together they loved to go out to eat, mow their lawns and garden.   They spent many hours watching their favorite sports teams, especially the Brewers.  With Bonnie, their partner in crime, they had so much fun garage saling.

She is survived by a daughter, Shelly (Mike) Grovogel, a son, John (Karla) Jenquin and three grandchildren:  Amber (Joe) Teele, Zach, and Levi Jenquin; her sister, Bonnie (Phil) Vogel; sister- in-law, Marilyn Jenquin, special friend, Terry DeWane, and nieces.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 30, 2022, at St. Francis & St. Mary Parish in Brussels.  Entombment will be at the Shrine of Good Shepherd Mausoleum.  Friends may call at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday and then at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the church until the time of service.  A prayer service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the Bellin Cancer Team, especially Dr. Torres and Dean, and to Unity Hospice.
