Jason Patrick McDonald

Jason Patrick McDonald, born February 17, 1990, passed away unexpectedly on May 5, 2023. He was born in Wausau, WI and in his adult life moved to Farmington, NM with his best friend David "Pyters" Pitts.  Jason and Pyters were best friends since second grade and were inseparable.  

Many would say Jason had a huge heart and gave the best hugs. His free time was spent with his dog Luffy, and Pyters’ dogs Blue and Giai, that he kept after Pyters passed away.  He also had a special passion for cooking. 

Jason was a great son who left us too soon.  He was the apple of his mom’s eye, and they shared a special bond.  He had a great smile and loving heart and will be missed every day. 

Jason leaves behind his mom, Michelle (Paul Weber) McDonald of Lake Havasu City, AZ, brother Jeffrey Grovogel of Sturgeon Bay, WI, “the apple of HIS eye”niece Kaylee of Kewaunee, WI, grandmother Paulette McDonald of Sturgeon Bay, WI,  aunt Renee (Nick Wauters) Walker of Sturgeon Bay, godfather/uncle Patrick Walker of Sturgeon Bay, WI, cousin/sister Katie (Kyle) Walker of Sturgeon Bay, WI, Cousin Cassandra (Mike) DeBauche of DePere, WI, second cousins: Harper, Emerson, Lennox and Raelynn, and all his friends and extended family. 

Jason was preceded in death by his grandfather Jack McDonald, and best friend David "Pyters" Pitts.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 17, 2023, at the Algoma Boat Club from 12:00pm - 4:00pm in Algoma, WI.  Address: 180 6th St. Algoma, WI 54201
