Jane Alice Patza, 70, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away surrounded by her family on March 18, 2020 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay. She was born in Sturgeon Bay on Aug. 19, 1949 to Lawrence and Irene (Schley) Schubert. On Dec. 16, 1967, she married Roger Patza at Salem Lutheran Church.
For many years, Jane worked as a farmer and tested milk for DHI. She was also the manager of PJ’s of Door County until her retirement.
Jane loved playing cards, shopping antiques, finding recipes on facebook, reading, and was one heck of a softball player back in her day. She was a long-time member of Salem Lutheran Church and known for her Krazy Cakes.
Jane also enjoyed time at the casinos and anyone who knew her, knew how lucky she was. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, 2 daughters, Jenny Ploor and Jodi (Ryan) Wery, 1 son Jason (Andrea) Patza; grandchildren: Kyle (Ashley), Cynde, and Alex Ploor, Ashley (Taylor) Bley, Alexis Wery, Natalie and Jacob Patza; 2 sisters, Norma (Dale) Uecker, Lois (Scott) Brown; 2 brothers, Paul (Deb) Schubert and Roger (Wendy) Schubert; and her dog Zoie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Alan Schubert, parents-in-law, Joseph (Happy Joe) and Glenice Patza, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ken Patza, Robert Patza, and Sharon Adams.
Due to recent public health concerns, her family will be conducting private family services. Memorials may be directed to Salem Lutheran Church in her name. Forbes Funeral Home & Cremations is assisting the family.
