James Meyer Sr. Obituary

James Jerome Meyer Sr., 75, of Union, passed away at his home on September 21, 2023. He was born on February 29, 1948, in Sturgeon Bay to Jerome and Mary Jane (Arndt) Meyer. James married Suzanne Zahn on April 18, 1970, in Jacksonport, and had two wonderful sons. On June 24, 2000, he married Sandra A. Mueller in Sturgeon Bay, she preceded him in death on February 25, 2019.

Jim loved keeping his car clean and going to car shows. He also enjoyed casinos, Elvis, going out to eat, and going for walks. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by 2 sons, Curt (Barb Draeger) Meyer, Green Bay; Jim (Dawn) Meyer, Wrightstown; 3 step-daughters, Monica (Christopher) Mackey, Brussels; Milissa (Ryan Kaye) Mueller, Brussels; Sara (Tehya Bertrand) Mueller, Brussels; 2 grandchildren, Curt Jr. and Takoha of Sturgeon Bay; 2 brothers, Michael D. Meyer, Las Cruces, NM; Joe (Marne) Meyer, Green Bay; Marie (James) Pankratz, Sturgeon Bay; brother-in-law Mike (Jo) Renard, Brussels; sister-in-law Sue (Scott) Sperber, Sturgeon Bay; mother-in-law Germaine Renard, Brussels; and Curt and Jim’s mother Suzanne Meyer, Sturgeon Bay; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra; and father-in-law, Roy Renard.

The family will have a celebration of life at a later date. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
