Obituary

Evangeline Mary Perlewitz 96, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on February 24, 2023, at Door County Medical Center Skilled Nursing Facility.  She was born on January 6, 1927, in Sturgeon Bay to Joseph and Esther (Neuville) Mallien.  In 1947, she married Julius J. Alberts in Sturgeon Bay.

Evangeline was a dedicated member of St. Mary’s Church in Algoma and was involved with the choir and Rosary Society.  She also enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel Alberts, Oxford, AL; Thomas (Marybeth) Alberts, Sturgeon Bay; two grandchildren, Grace and Julian Alberts.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Lawrence (Mary Jane) Mallien.

Memorial services will be 11:00 am Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Forbes Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery.
