Elizabeth "Betty" Rose

Elizabeth Marie Rose, 97, of Forestville passed away on Oct. 19, 2022.  She was born Jan. 11, 1925, in the Town of Forestville to Wendelin and Matilda (Schmidt) Rose.

Betty was a teacher in public grade schools and later with a theology degree, worked as a catechist in many catholic parishes throughout the United States.  She was currently a member of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Maplewood.

Survivors include a sister, Mercedese (Donald) Tebon, Dousman, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Frances Rose and Rev. Donald Rose,  sister Wendelin who was a Franciscan Nun, and three infant brothers.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022, at Holy Name of Mary Church in Maplewood.   Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service.  Forbes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
