Elaine Agatha Guilette, 92, of Brussels, passed away at her original home on September 6, 2021. She was born on March 26, 1929, in Brussels to Arthur and Lena (Gerondale) Pierre. Elaine graduated from Brussels High School where she was the homecoming and prom queen. On June 18, 1949, she married Lloyd N. Guilette in Brussels, he preceded her in death on December 25, 1982. Elaine ran a dairy farm for 40 years, the last years by herself. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved going to watch her grandchildren’s activities. Elaine liked to play cards, baking, and putting puzzles together. She was the ultimate homemaker.
Survivors include 6 sons and 2 daughters: Bruce (Donna), Racine, Brian (Terri) Dyckesville, Barth (Sue), Sturgeon Bay, Brett (Joanne) Brussels, Blaine (Monica) Sturgeon Bay, Beth (Phil) Hanson, Brussels; Barry (Cathy) Brussels, and Barbara (Dave) Pavlik, Sturgeon Bay; 27 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Phil (Judy) Pierre, Brussels; a sister, Claudette Mirkes, Green Bay; sister-in-law, Elaine (Myron) DeGrave, Brussels; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Bradford; parents-in-law, Nelson and Emily Guilette; brothers and sisters-in-law, Angela (Vincent) Gilson, Margaret (Roger) Miller, Ella Mae (Herman) Vandertie, Gloria (Richard) Vandermause, Bernard (Dolores) Pierre, and Paul Mirkes.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday September 13, 2021, at St. Francis and St. Mary’s Parish in Brussels with Rev. Edward Looney officiating. Entombment will be in Shrine of Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Forbes Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Monday. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
