Edward M. Krueger Obituary

Edward Michael Krueger 88, of Forestville passed away at home surrounded by his family on February 24, 2023.  He was born on July 28, 1934, in Door County to Herbert and Ida (Wilke) Krueger.  On March 3, 1956, he married Carol Olson at Forest Lutheran Church in Carnot.  Edward served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1958.

Edward was a logger and owned and operated Performance Realty and Ed’s Wood Products for 25 years, and crop farmed.  He was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay and enjoyed fishing, playing sheepshead, and family gatherings where he enjoyed spending time with his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife; 3 sons Mark (Jean) Krueger, Forestville; Rick (Lilly) Krueger, Forestville; and Randy (Karen) Krueger, Sturgeon Bay; daughter-in-law Carol Krueger, Forestville; 11 grandchildren; Jason Krueger; Julie (Cory) Cmeyla; Connie (Cheryl) Neuzil; Chris (Kendra) Krueger; Scott (Alicia) Krueger; Ashley (Travis) Maas; Jeff (Jamie) Krueger; Mitchell (Brittany) Krueger; Amber Krueger; Amanda (Darin) Ploor; and Jeremy (Ashley) Krueger; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Herb Krueger, Valders; in-laws Lila Olson; John (Dianne) Olson; Marion (Dave) Schultz; and Judy Olson along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Michael; brother and sisters, Mabel (Art) Grovogel, Milton (Ann) Krueger; Margaret (Harold) Wiesner; Grace (Lawrence) Long; Leonard (Betty) Krueger; Helen (Sylvester) Neinas; Bernice (Ken) Karas; Elaine (Tim) Sperber; Florence (Carl) Sixel; and infant sisters, Violet and Gertrude; as well as 4 brothers-in-law, Gerald (Elaine) Olson, Roy (Leona) Olson, and Alan Olson; Robert Olson; parents-in-law Melvin and Clara Olson and a great-granddaughter, Olivia and great-great grandson Gabriel.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Joel Sauer officiating.  Burial will be in Forestville Town Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Tuesday.  A prayer service will take place at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Peters Lutheran church or Unity Hospice.
