Bruce A. Heise Obituary

Bruce A. Heise, of Menomonee Falls, WI, entered eternal life on Monday, November 4, 2024, after a brief bout with cancer. He was born in Kewanee, IL on July 30, 1939, to Freeman and Gladys (nee Smith) Heise. He attended Neponset High School, after which he attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL. He taught all ages of children the joys of music, focusing on choral. He was an accomplished pianist, a talent which was enjoyed in later life by his fellow residents and staff at his skilled nursing facility.

He married Judith (nee Klug), whom he met while attending Illinois Wesleyan. She too, was a music teacher, and both made their marks on the Southeastern Wisconsin music scene. She preceded him in death last September.

He is survived by his children, Jonathon Heise, of Milwaukee, Dr. James (Lisa) Heise of Sturgeon Bay, and Jason (Carol) Heise of Oak Creek; his grandsons Daniel and Justin; and his brother Richard (Sandra) Heise of Neponset, IL, along with nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held with the immediate family in the near future.

Bruce’s family wishes to express their profound gratitude to the neighbors and extraordinary staff at the Pete and Jelaine Horton Skilled Nursing Facility at Door County Medical Center, for their loving and generous care. Dad was truly happy there and we are forever grateful.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pete and Jelaine Horton Skilled Nursing Facility at Door County Medical Center.  Forbes Funeral Home is serving the family.
