Andrew Von Freitag

Andrew Freitag, 60, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on June 12, 2023, at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center in Green Bay.  He was born Jan. 10, 1963, in Watertown to Lavern and Ella Mae (George) Freitag.  On June 2, 2007, he married Lisa Marie LaBonte in Ashwaubenon.

Andy lived most of his life in Watertown.  Several years ago, he moved to Green Bay and recently relocated to Sturgeon Bay.  He loved living in the country.

Andy was currently employed by Therma-Tron-X in Sturgeon Bay.  He was a naturally skilled and intelligent man who could fix or build anything.  He loved fishing and working on projects around the house.  He had a very close relationship with his stepson and step grandchildren and cherished the time he spent with them whether it was camping, watching sports, or just being together.

Andy was a quiet and generous man who was loved by everyone who knew him.  He was a wonderful husband, family man and friend and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife, a son, a brother Wayne Freitag, 2 sisters, Ann (Tim) Timm and Mary (Michael) Trapp, a stepson Louis (Fiance Michelle) Ferrari, 2 step grandchildren, Bella and Colton.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of his life will be held in Watertown later this year.  Forbes Funeral Home is assisting the family.
