Ami Miya Lindemeyer, 86, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away peacefully on Feb. 22, 2022, at Cherry Cove Assisted Living. She was born in Kobe, Japan on July 7, 1935 to Satoshi and Ai (Tsumura) Miyamoto. Ami was a survivor of the atomic bombs dropped on Japan during WWII.
Ami met her husband many years ago while he was working in Japan. They moved to Hawaii for a short time, then to Alabama, and ultimately Sturgeon Bay, where Ami spent the last 45 years.
Ami loved golf, as well as volunteering for Meals on Wheels. She was known and loved by many.
Ami is survived by her son Eddie Daswani (Japan), and Son in Law, Daniel Thimm (Sturgeon Bay). She is proceeded in death by her husband, Richard Lindemeyer, and her daughter Mira Miyamoto (Thimm).
