Mildred Londo

April 3, 1919 ~ July 1, 2017 (age 98) 98 Years Old

Mildred Ruth Londo, 98, of Sturgeon Bay passed away at the Skilled Nursing Facility on July 1, 2017.  She was born April 3, 1919 in Maplewood to Martin and Clara (Keller) Berg. On December 29, 1941 she married Harry Londo in Toledo, Ohio.  He preceded her in death on July 24, 2004.

Mildred had a long and successful career as an Avon representative and manager for many years in Door, Kewaunee and Brown counties.  With her husband she enjoyed years of camping, boating, snowmobiling, deer hunting, golfing and wintering in Florida. She was also a past member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club, multiple golf leagues and snowmobile clubs.

Millie loved reading, working in her flower garden and playing sheepshead.  She will always be remembered as a woman with a wonderful sense of humor who loved and enjoyed a full life.

Survivors include her two children, Robert (Susan) Londo, Winter Haven, FL; Jody (James) Boes, Sturgeon Bay; five grandchildren, Russ (Holly) Londo, Tricia (Dean) Uhlman, Mathew (special friend Kelly) Hanson, Ann (Tag) Gunnlaugsson, Michael (Tricia) Hanson; five step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, Donald (Ann) Berg and a sister, Marion Millard.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2017 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, the Rev. Joel Sauer officiating.   Burial will be in Bayside Cemetery.  Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church on that Friday.  Memorials may be given to Door County Medical Center Skilled Nursing Facility.
