Kathryn “Kathy” Engebose, 41, of Brussels, passed away on September 27, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. She was born July 5, 1977 in Sturgeon Bay to Lynn and Sharon (Annoye) Engebose. Kathryn graduated from Southern Door High School in 1995, and then earned an associate degree at NWTC in hospitality and tourism.
After college, Kathryn was employed by the Shoreline Resort in Gills Rock where she led sightseeing boat tours and diving expeditions. Her adventurous spirit and love for the water led her to become certified in diving and to go on to establish her own diving charter business, Dive Diva Charters.
During her off seasons, Kathy worked in hospitality as a crew member on luxury yachts in Fort Lauderdale and the Caribbean. She also worked in retail for several years before taking her last job at Renard’s Cheese.
Kathy was an avid reader, loved to travel, and especially enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include her parents Lynn and Sharon Engebose, Brussels; two sisters, Patricia Hovel, Wauwatosa; and Charlotte (Glenn) Smet, Green Bay; nieces and nephews: Lily, Peter Nicholas, Luci, and Aaron; one aunt, Theresa Annoye, Sturgeon Bay; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Clarence and Ethelyn Engebose, and Walter and Alvina Annoye; aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, OCTOBER 10, 2018, at St. Francis and St. Mary Parish in Brussels with Rev. Edward Looney officiating. Burial will be in Holy Name of Mary Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Forbes Funeral Home on Tuesday, OCTOBER 9 and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church.
