I was saddened to hear of Jim's passing.....he was an absolutely great small town policeman.....My father, Frank Schmidt, graduated from SBHS in 36 and he always spoke kindly of Jim.....I remember the speeding warning I got from him in '59.
He was rather dumfounded when Mary Jane hit herself in the foot with a golf club and shattered her foot....wonderful guy.
Aloha Oe
Fondest Aloha,

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was such a character always keeping everyone on their toes with his quick wit. I see him dancing with Laura and playing cards or watching Westerns with my Mom in Heaven. I'll always remember spending time talking with him when I would visit. What a jokester! Keep the memories close and take care of each other. Love, The Tupa Family

I knew Jim from my days as a waitress and cook at the Hilltop. One time he asked for a Mickey Mouse pancake and I began to make them for him whenever he came in. He was so proud of that pancake and I always think of Jim when I make Mickey pancakes for my kids. I have so many memories from the years of knowing him and will never forget him or the many stories he told.
My deepest condolences

We share your sadness, but celebrate the long life your father lived.
