Gary L. Stuebs, 69, of Sturgeon Bay passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Green Bay.  He was born May 23, 1948 in Milwaukee to Lester and Viola (Osborne) Stuebs. 

 Gary served his country in the National Guard Reserves after high school.  For many years, he was a car salesman in the Grafton/Milwaukee area.  Most recently he was part owner and general manager of Gagne & Sons Ford in Algoma for several years.

 Gary was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and four wheeling.  Gary was a founding member and vice-chairman of Door County Walleyes for Tomorrow from 2007 to 2017; and also a co-director for a disabled kids fishing program supporting the Sunshine House.  He was currently a member of the White Lake ATV Club, the Southern Door Snow Travelers, and past member of the Gardner Rifle Club.  He also enjoyed wintering in Texas with Mary and his dog Ammo.

 Survivors include his brother, Ken (Lee Anne) Stuebs, Iola, WI; a niece, Stephanie Stuebs; cousins, Sandra and Bill Wormet, Jeffrey Wormet, Tammy and Scott Lowrey and their children, Keegan and Kayla; his loving partner and best friend for 30 years, Mary Lueck.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
