Dale Seiler Obituary

Dale John Seiler, 88, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on February 22, 2018, at Door County Medical Center.  He was born in Door County on January 28, 1930, to Marvin and Florence (Herlache) Seiler.  Dale served his country in the U.S. Airforce.  On April 18, 1970, he married Karen Robertson, she preceded him in death on July 21, 2014.

Dale worked as a salesman for Mrs. Karl’s Bakery for 34 years.  He was a long-time and very devoted member of the Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church where he served in numerous capacities.  In his younger years, he loved playing in the Door County Baseball League.  He also liked to follow the Badgers, Brewers, and Packers.  Dale enjoyed many years of fishing, vegetable gardening, and playing cards.

He is survived by four children, Rick (Pam) Seiler, Sturgeon Bay; Dr. Michael (Marcy) Seiler, Glencoe, IL; Susan (Paul) Mathias, Sun Lakes, AZ; Kerry (Dana) Karcz, Kenney, IL; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother Wayne (Ruth) Seiler, Brookfield, WI; a sister Carol (Robert) Kuehl, Green Bay; in-laws, Ed and Judie Holladay; and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. SATURDAY, MARCH 3, 2018, at the Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church with Rev. Dr. Mathew Knapp and Rev. Reeder Herrick officiating.  Burial will be in Shiloh Moravian Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.  Forbes Funeral Home & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church.  On-line condolences may be offered at forbesfuneralhome.com.
