Beverly Jean LuMaye, 79, of Maplewood, passed away on July 29, 2018, in Sturgeon Bay at Anna’s Health Care. She was born April 21, 1939, to Hugh and Marion (Bancroft) Birdsall. On September 5, 1959, she married Isadore J. “Izzy” LuMaye in Maplewood; he preceded her in death on March 28, 2002.
Beverly loved doing things for her family and others. She loved baking, especially for the holidays and the Door County Fair. Beverly also loved tending to her huge garden.
Survivors include her children, John LuMaye, Sturgeon Bay; Beth (Dan) Haw, Union City, TN; Barb (Howard) Schacht, Sioux Falls, SD; Mike (special friend, Barb Thibeault) LuMaye, Sturgeon Bay; Rick LuMaye, Sturgeon Bay; Kris (Dennis) Weidner, Sturgeon Bay; nine grandchildren, Nathan, Juslain, Nick (Jen); Heather (Elgin), Marcus, Jaysen, Meggie, Amber (Nathan), and Naomi; five great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jaxson, Sharon, Addie, and Isabelle; one great-great-grandchild, Bryson; siblings, Fr. Hugh Birdsall, Doreen (Jack) Pease, Judy (Bill) Retzer, Mary (Fred) Malvitz, and Theresa (Roger) Kinnard; in-laws, Joe Bolwerk, Gerald (Florance) LuMaye, Harold (Judy) LuMaye, Mary Conard, Nora Ripley, Sister Gerald LuMaye, Anne Zeimet, Carol Rose, Sandy LuMaye, and Lawrence Jandrin; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Francis Bolwerk; one daughter-in-law, Jean; and nineteen brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, AUG. 7, 2018, at Holy Name of Mary Parish in Maplewood. Friends may call at the Forbes Funeral Home on Monday, AUG. 6, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
