Suzanne Delwiche Obituary

Suzanne Marie Delwiche, 80, of Brussels, passed away at her home on January 31, 2021.  She was born June 9, 1940, in Sturgeon Bay to Melvin and Clara (Kerscher) Buehler.  On October 3, 1959, she married Ronald R. Delwiche in Maplewood.

Suzanne worked part-time at Marchant’s Foods and as a teacher’s aide for Southern Door Schools.  Just recently, she became a member of the Brussels Lions Club after having volunteered with organization for many years.  Suzanne also did volunteer work for the Belgian Heritage Center in Namur.

She enjoyed going to the YMCA for swim class, playing cards, traveling, and cooking.  For many years, Suzanne enjoyed socializing with her “lady friends” group from Southern Door. She especially loved time spent with her family, particularly her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband; three children, Brian Delwiche, Maplewood; Brad (Sandy) Delwiche, Mt. Horeb; Crystal Delwiche, Oshkosh; five grandchildren, Molly, Meredith (Cody), Maia, Malachi, and Martand.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

A public visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay with a prayer service to be conducted at 6:00 p.m.  Face masks are required, and social distancing measures will be implemented.  Private family services will be held at St. Francis and St. Mary Parish in Brussels with Rev. Edward Looney officiating.  The funeral service will be live streamed on Father Edward Looney’s Facebook page at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.  Burial will be at St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery.
