Marilyn Liebe Obituary

Marilyn Liebe, 87, of Nasewaupee, passed away on March 10, 2021, at Pine Crest Village.  She was born May 9, 1933, in Two Rivers, WI to Earl and Jeanette (Bonnes) Wiesner.  On June 20, 1959, she married Leroy E. Liebe, who preceded her in death on May 28, 2017.

After graduating from Sturgeon Bay High School, Marilyn worked for Sturgeon Bay Public Schools, where she worked as an administrative assistant to 3 superintendents.  While raising their children, she and Leroy ran a dairy farm in the Town of Nasewaupee.

Marilyn was a very active member of the community.  She was an assistant coach for Girls Little League, volunteered for Respite Care and Lakeshore CAP, and as a docent at the Door County Maritime Museum.  She also acted as a guardian for social services and was a longtime member at Bay View Lutheran Church.  Marilyn enjoyed boating, swimming, skiing, traveling, sports, and had a great love for animals.

Survivors include two children, Lori (Mick Mezzano) Liebe, Neenah; Paul (Kris) Liebe, Oconomowoc; two grandchildren, Allison and Cassandra; in-laws, Shirley and Jake Bostrom, Menomonie, WI; Terry Wiesner, Sturgeon Bay; and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Dr. Richard Wiesner; and in-laws.

A public memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Bay View Lutheran Church.  Burial will be in Schumacher Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service.  Masks are required for all in attendance.  Memorials may be directed to Bay View Lutheran Church, the Door County Maritime Museum, or the Door County Humane Society.
