Gail Ann Gonzales

Gail Ann Gonzales, 63, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Green Bay on May 2, 2020.  She was born April 2, 1957 in Sturgeon Bay to Alvin and Della (Marchant) Jeanquart.  On August 31, 1991 Gail married the love of her life, Augie Gonzales in Brussels.

Gail and Augie currently lived in Sturgeon Bay.  Gail’s love for children inspired her to work as an administrative assistant at Southern Door School District for many years up until her retirement.

Gail and Augie adored their furry four-legged “children”, Bear, Taz, and Rocky.  She also enjoyed riding their Goldwing, swimming, gardening, campfires, bird watching, playing cards and games, an occasional fun prank, cooking (her rice pudding was phenomenal) and spending time with her nieces and nephews.  Her greatest passion was studying the Bible.  Gail attended Stewards of Grace Ministries in Brussels where she loved to fellowship and worship.

She is survived by the love of her life and best friend Augie Gonzales; Gail’s siblings: Jim (Gloria) Jeanquart, Mary Wanner, Jerry (Delores) Jeanquart, Joe (Barb) Jeanquart, Alvin Jr. (Sandy) Jeanquart, Steve Jeanquart, and Tim (Pam) Jeanquart; Augie’s mom, Aurelia Gonzales; Augie’s siblings: Maria Gonzales, Jim Gonzales, Louie (Denise) Gonzales, Pasquel Gonzales, Denise (Tim) Shultz, Sylvia (Shaun) Billotte; numerous nieces and nephews (also known as mocosos in the Gonzales' household) and great-nieces and nephews.  Gail was preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law, Mary Gonzales and her dog, Taz.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Steward's of Grace Ministries at 3:30 pm on Sat. June 27, 2020.  A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 3:30 pm that day.   If anyone is inclined to send flowers at some point, please use Gail’s favorite florist, Door’s Fleurs & Orchard (920-883-5188).  Forbes Funeral Home & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
