Welcome to the memorial page for

RJ Ullman

October 3, 1965 ~ November 3, 2015 (age 50) 50 Years Old

Robert John Ullman Jr., 50, of Brussels, passed away at his home on November 3, 2015.  He was born October 3, 1965, in Sturgeon Bay to Robert and Collette (Jandrain) Ullman Sr.  R.J. attended St. Joseph Grade School and graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1983.  On November 14, 1992, he married Jodi Guelette at St. Joseph Church in Sturgeon Bay.

R.J. worked for Culligan Water Softening in Sturgeon Bay for 29 years.  In 2013, he found his dream job at Just In Time Corporation where he was able to use his “MacGyver-like” skills to the fullest.

Whether it was in his deer stand, at a campfire, or on his deck, R.J. loved being outside.  He enjoyed hunting, camping, NASCAR, Harleys, a clean car, and the Green Bay Packers.  He especially enjoyed being with his family and friends.

R.J. loved working with his hands and mind, and never met a tool he couldn’t handle or a “fix it” job he couldn’t tackle.  One of R.J.’s gifts was being able to connect with people of all ages, and he was always the first in line when anyone needed a helping hand.  Having a great sense of humor, he was seldom at a loss for a one-liner.  He embraced life, always living it to the fullest.  R.J. was simply a great guy who will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

Survivors include his wife Jodi; two children, Ian (significant other Gabby) Ullman, Breckenridge, Colorado and Nicollette Ullman, Brussels; siblings: Heidiann Ullman, Sturgeon Bay; Holly Ullman Herlache, Sturgeon Bay; Todd (Adelina) Ullman, San Diego, CA; Tim (Betsy) Ullman, Sturgeon Bay; Tom Ullman, Green Bay; Terry (Rebecca) Ullman, Sturgeon Bay; Ann (Bob) DeMeuse, Sturgeon Bay; Carla (Ed Katz) Ullman, New York; Tony (Kathryn) Ullman, Oconomowoc, WI; step-mother, Pat Ullman; step-siblings, Terry (Lon) Fager, Dawn (Mark) Potratz; Guy Rubens; parents-in-law, Gary and Karen Guelette, Forestville; sister-in-law, Debbie (Todd) Thayse, Forestville; brothers-in-law, Darren DeClark, Brussels; Tim Herlache, Sturgeon Bay; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 9, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Stegmann officiating.  Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2015, at St. Joseph Church and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Monday.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.  Forbes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  On-line condolences may be offered at www.forbesfuneralhome.com

Special thanks to the JIT family, the BDH family, the Richard Hogan family, Green Bay Oncology, and his “other” brothers and sisters who helped him on his journey.
