Norbert Julius Charles, 78, of Sturgeon Bay, joined his wife in heaven on February 20, 2017, at Door County Medical Center.  He was born on October 8, 1938, in Gardner to John and Mable (Martin) Charles.  On June 18, 1960, he married Lynn Greenway, who preceded him in death on February 24, 2015.  Norbert worked as a gravel truck driver for most of his life.

Survivors include three children, Cathy (David) DeKeyser, Brussels; Tim (Joanne) Charles , Sturgeon Bay; and James (Michelle) Charles, Sturgeon Bay; six grandchildren, Deanna and Dan DeKeyser, Amber and Tyler Charles, Samantha (Nick) Routhieaux, and Andrew (Falon) Charles; four great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Allison Meneau, Vance DeKeyser, Laila Routhieaux, and one “on the way”; one sister, Delores (Harold) Massart; one brother, Robert Tucker; in-laws, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Cynthia and  granddaughter, Crystal.
