Mary J. Larkin

March 30, 1941 ~ January 6, 2018 (age 76) 76 Years Old

Mary Jean (Teich) Larkin, 76, of Rio Creek, died peacefully on January 6, 2018, at Aurora Baycare Medical Center in Green Bay surrounded by her family after suffering a stroke. Mary was born March 30, 1941, in Jacksonport, WI. The daughter of John & Minnie (Meyer) Teich.

Mary graduated from Sevastopol High School in 1959. She started working at the Milwaukee Shoe factory in Sturgeon Bay where she met and later married her husband of 55 years, Frank Larkin.

Mary and Frank married June 30, 1962, at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay. Together they had three children, Steve (Pam) Larkin of Wausau; Jadee (Marilyn) Larkin of Kensington, MN; and Kiteena (Christopher) Bacon of Oak Creek.

Mary enjoyed bowling and archery until arthritis got the better, also quilting, camping, fishing, candy making, and playing cards, until seizures limited those activities. No matter what happened she always enjoyed her time with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends the most!!

Mary is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, Frank, their three children and their spouses, and nine beloved grandchildren; Keri, Johnathan, Amanda, Phillip, Katie, Jake, Levi, Liliana, and Clarissa and four great grandchildren – Connor, Gabriel, Xzelia, and Avaleen. Further survived by her nine siblings – Clifford Teich, Beverly Clark, Loraine (Don) Schrandt, Nancy Peil, Carol (Maynard) Staats, Ben (Barbara) Teich, Thomas (Sally) Teich and Debra (James) McGinnis, her in-laws, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father in-law, Bernard and Agnes Putnam; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Martin Onsager; brother, Loney; infant brother, Jackie; sisters-in-law, Betty Teich, Sharon Ettien, Odile Carufel, and Darlene Putnam.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018, at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay.  Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home on Saturday.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to: Epilepsy Foundation or Arthritis Foundation.
