Judy A. Neumann, 79, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on June 8, 2017.  She was born Feb. 12, 1938 in Milwaukee to Erwin and Renata (Budahn) Neumann.

Judy became an LPN after high school and in 1959 she entered Walther Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago.  After graduation as a professional nurse in 1962, she worked at Walther Memorial Hospital and then worked at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago for over 40 years.  While at Reese Hospital Judy worked as a pediatric nurse caring for infants through 18 months and then in the mother-child unit.  Nursing was truly her joy in life.

In 2004, Judy retired to Door County on Lake Michigan with her friend, Mary Anderson.  She became involved in Learning and Retirement and was a Parish Nurse at Bay View Lutheran Church until 2016. 

Judy enjoyed quilting, golfing and traveling, especially trips to Alaska, Hawaii, Nova Scotia, and a train trip out west.

Survivors include her brother James (Jean) Neumann, Sheboygan, 2 sisters, Mary Neumann, Mosinee; and Susan Neumann, Mosinee; sister-in-law, Judy J. Neumann; special friend Mary Anderson, nieces, and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her brother Thomas.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, JUNE 19, 2017 at Bay View Lutheran Church.  Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.  Forbes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Memorials may be directed to Bay View Lutheran Church and to Unity Hospice.
