Ethelyn Rose Engebose, 93, of Brussels, passed away on April 28, 2016.  She was born on July 1, 1922 in Gardner to Edwin and Rose (Vandertie) Herlache.  On April 17, 1940 she married Clarence Engebose.  He passed away on Aug. 15, 2005.

Ethelyn was a hard worker, helping her husband work the family farm in Brussels for many years.  She enjoyed crafting and was a terrific cook and baker.  Ethelyn was a past member of the Christian Mothers, the Homemakers Club, and the Brussels Lions Club.

She is survived by her son Lynn (Sharon) Engebose, Brussels; 3 granddaughters, Patty Hovel, Wauwatosa; Charlotte (Glenn) Smet, Green Bay; and Kathy Engebose, Brussels; 4 great-grandchildren, Lily, Peter Nick, Luci and Aaron; brother-in-law Ray Coisman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Vida Coisman, and in-laws Goldie and Rita Engebose.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016, at St. Francis and St. Mary Parish in Brussels with Deacon Paul Zenefski and Rev. Steve Vanden Boogard officiating.  Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.  Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.  Forbes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
