Ellen Juanita Rohde, 80, of Brussels, passed away at the Sturgeon Bay Health Center on September 6, 2017.  She was born on February 7, 1937, in Door County, to Henry and Mathilda (Klansky) Rohde.  Ellen was a bookkeeper at Palmer Johnson, Inc. for 44 years.  She also was a bookkeeper for Raymond Dix Magneto in Forestville for many years.  Ellen loved to cook and was a lifelong member of Salem Lutheran Church.  She loved polka music, gardening, and spending time at the cottage.

Survivors include a niece, Diana (Jon) Sell, Eagle River; two nephews, Donald (Sharon) Rohde, Milwaukee; Glenn (Judy) Rohde, West Bend; five grand-nieces; five grand-nephews; cousins; great-grandnieces; and great-grandnephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Donald and Eli Rohde; a sister, Elaine Rohde; and a niece, Linda Mirpuri.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Salem Lutheran Church with Rev. Tod Vertz officiating.  Burial will be in Holy Name of Mary Cemetery in Maplewood.  Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church until time of services.  In-lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Salem Lutheran Church.
