Donald Augustson, 78, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Aug. 5, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.  He was born Feb. 20, 1938, in Detroit to Rudolph and Margaret Augustson.  On July 7, 1962, he married Jean Munday in Ontario.  She preceded him in death on Oct. 25, 2013.

Don served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard for 24 years and later worked in civil service for the Navy Office in Sturgeon Bay.  He was proud of his service to the country and enjoyed traveling around the world during his career. 

Don and his wife spent many years touring the country on motorcycles and three-wheelers.  They were long time members of the Gold Wing Road Riders and the Gold Wing Touring Association.  Recently, Don enjoyed spending time outside and attending The Church of the Holy Nativity in Jacksonport.

Survivors include two sons, David (Dawn) Augustson and Darrel Augustson, all of Sturgeon Bay; four grandchildren, Maxwell, Megan, Joshua, and Jenna; a sister, Rosemary (Stan) McGill and a brother, Wally Augustson.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and five siblings.

Private family services will be conducted and a memorial fund has been established in his name.  Forbes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
