Andrew Gilbert “Andy” Lawrence, 87, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Dec. 28, 2016, in Green Bay.  He was born April 27, 1929, in Sturgeon Bay to Andrew H. and Emma (Tesar) Lawrence.  On Aug. 22, 1953, he married Betty Wetak at Corpus Christi Church.  She preceded him in death on Dec. 30, 2010.

Andy worked as draftsman for R.A. Stearn for many years.  He was a very talented craftsman who made beautiful furniture and other projects.  He also loved traveling around the United States with his wife.  Andy and his wife Betty were long time and very active members of Corpus Christi Church.

Survivors include a brother Charles Lawrence, Menasha, WI; brother-in-law Gerald (Sharon) Wetak, Sun City, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and daughter Cindy.

Friends may call at the Forbes Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 from 4-7:00 p.m. with a prayer service to be conducted at 6:30 p.m.  A mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Corpus Christi Church in Sturgeon Bay.  Entombment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum.  Memorials may be directed to Door CANcer Inc. in his name.
