Harry U. DeNamur, 87, of Sturgeon Bay died Saturday August 9, 2008 after a battle with cancer.Harry was born October 21, 1920 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Harry DeNamur Sr. and Irene Schilling.He was proud of his years of service in the United States Navy from 1939-1959.He was an accomplished bowler having won many tournaments.He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing cards.Harry also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his best friend and spouse Joanne (LeCloux) DeNamur; six children:Kay (Mike) Evans, Green Bay; Gary (Vicky) Soukup, Sturgeon Bay; Randy (Martha) Soukup, Maplewood; Richard (Polly) Soukup, Sturgeon Bay; Michelle (Jeff) Bruemmer, Sturgeon Bay; Jeff DeNamur, Green Bay; 8 grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Irene (Schilling) DeNamur, one sister and brother-in-law Yolanda and Alex Baker. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay.Entombment will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum in Green Bay. |
