Kermit M. Viste
(August 25, 1934 - May 3, 2012)
Kermit served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1954 to 1958. He worked in the maintenance department at Ministry Door County Medical Center for 15 years and also had worked for the Shoe Factory and Bay Ship Building. Survivors include his wife, Jean; four children, Cheryl (Ed) Stewart, Goldsboro, N.C.; Paula (Robert) Madoche, Little Sturgeon; Mitchel (Renate) Viste, Sturgeon Bay; Scot Viste, Sturgeon Bay; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry (Bonnie) Viste, Sturgeon Bay; mother-in-law, Pauline Marie Thorson, Sturgeon Bay; sister-in-law, Irene Thorson; cousins, nieces, and nephews. Kermit was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Tennis Thorson, Sr.; 2 brothers-in-law, Robert Thorson and Tennis Thorson Jr. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2012, at the Forbes Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon. until the time of services at the funeral home on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Sunshine House.
